CNC Setup Machinist (2nd Shift) | $27–$34/hr + Shift Pay | DeSoto, KS

We’re hiring a CNC Setup Machinist for a second-shift role at a leading manufacturer that builds its own industrial equipment in-house (not a job shop). Shift & Schedule
• Mon–Thurs , 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM (4x10s)
• OT on Fridays/Saturdays is available (and voluntary – for now!)
• $1/hr shift differential on top of base pay
Pay: $27–$34/hr DOE + shift differential
Location: DeSoto, KS (Corporate HQ machine shop)
What You’ll Do
• Perform setups and operate CNC mills (mostly Haas)
• Handle a range of parts and materials: ductile iron, manganese bronze, stainless, aluminum
• Contribute to tooling and setup time reduction initiatives
• May lightly edit G-code (feeds/speeds) — no programming required
• Run 1–3 machines depending on cycle time (1–12 hrs)
You Bring:
• 5–7+ years of setup-focused CNC experience (not just operation)
• Strong manual skills — edge finder, micrometers, indicators, etc.
• Your own inspection tools : calipers, micrometers, indicators
• Dependability, accuracy, and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently and keep pace with day shift
