Job Posting: Tool Maker
Location: Reno, NV
Department: Tooling & Machining
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $80K - $120K DOE
Reports To: Tool Room Supervisor
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our team and support the development and maintenance of injection molding tools and related equipment. This role involves precision machining, CNC programming, mold repair, and collaboration with engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Machining and tooling for injection molding equipment and related programs
Mold maintenance and repair
CNC programming (MasterCam experience preferred)
CNC EDM operations (wire and sinker; Makino preferred)
CNC milling (Haas CNC preferred)
3D modeling (SolidWorks preferred)
Welding (experience preferred)
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required
Completion of employee orientation documents
Intermediate computer skills, especially in CNC programming
Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform technical calculations
General aptitude for designing and developing injection molding tools and support equipment
Required Infrastructure:
Access to CAD/CAM and solid modeling software
Computer terminal access to Triad Network Server
Well-equipped and maintained tooling/machining facilities
Training & Certifications:
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 Quality Programs
Heat Treatment of Mold Steels
Mold Maintenance and Repair
Tool Room Operations: CNC, EDM, Heat Treatment, Grinding
Power and Forklift Certification
Loss Control training
Preferred Experience:
MasterCam, SolidWorks, Makino EDM, Haas CNC
Welding and heat treatment processes
Hands-on experience in mold repair and maintenance
