Job Description

Empower the Next Generation Through Holocaust Education and Jewish Identity

The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is seeking a highly organized and mission-driven Program Associate to support the impactful work of March of the Living Southern Region. This vital role supports the planning and execution of meaningful Holocaust education experiences, helping Jewish teens connect deeply to their heritage, the lessons of history, and the future of Jewish life.

The Program Associate works directly with the March of the Living Director, volunteers, teens, and community partners to ensure a seamless participant experience, from application to travel, and beyond. If you're detail-oriented, passionate about education and Jewish continuity, and eager to support transformative programs, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Role and Impact

The Program Associate supports all administrative and programmatic functions of the March of the Living Southern Region. You will manage participant onboarding, assist with logistics for the international journey to Poland and Israel, and support year-round programs like From March to Miriam, recruitment, and Holocaust education initiatives. By keeping operations smooth and participants engaged, you’ll help shape a powerful educational journey that influences young lives forever.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Logistical Support

  • Manage data entry, payment tracking, and CRM systems with precision.
  • Oversee participant applications and support communication with families.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and vendor communication for the international journey.

Program Support

  • Support recruitment and coordinate information sessions.
  • Assist in planning and executing pre-trip educational events and post-trip engagement initiatives.
  • Help implement community-wide programs and fundraising events tied to March of the Living.

Communication & Community Engagement

  • Serve as a main point of contact for participants and parents regarding documentation, meetings, and trip updates.
  • Liaise with International March of the Living and local stakeholders.
  • Assist in committee meetings and other Federation-related projects as needed.

Thrive Here If You Have:

  • A BA or BS in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector, ideally with teen engagement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM systems
  • A strong understanding of Jewish traditions and culture
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and work both independently and collaboratively
  • A growth mindset and a professional, warm, and welcoming demeanor
  • Willingness to travel annually with the March of the Living delegation

Why You Should Work Here

When you join our team, you’ll benefit from:

  • A competitive salary
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Generous PTO, including major Jewish holidays
  • Opportunities for growth and professional development
  • A mission-driven team environment with meaningful impact
  • The chance to support life-changing journeys that connect the next generation to Holocaust remembrance and Jewish identity

This is the ideal position for someone who thrives behind the scenes but is driven by a front-line mission: helping Jewish teens carry the memory of the Holocaust forward and build strong Jewish futures.

The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status.
