Director, Clinical Development - Neurology
Location: New York, NY or Boston, MA

An innovative biotech is seeking a Director, Clinical Development - Neurology to drive early-phase programs from first-in-human through proof-of-concept. You'll be at the forefront of translating cutting-edge science into therapies that have the potential to transform patient lives.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you'll design and deliver clinical strategies, guide execution, and collaborate closely with cross-functional experts to advance novel therapies in neurodegenerative, neurodevelopmental, and rare neurological disorders.

What You'll Do

  • Drive clinical strategy and execution for early-phase neurology assets (FIH through PoC)

  • Design and oversee Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials, including biomarker-driven approaches

  • Collaborate with Translational Medicine, Biomarkers, Clinical Operations, and Regulatory teams to ensure seamless program delivery

  • Partner with CROs and vendors to optimize timelines, quality, and operational efficiency

  • Represent the company at advisory boards, scientific conferences, and with regulatory agencies

  • Provide clinical expertise in regulatory submissions and business development initiatives

What You Bring

  • MD, PhD, or board certification in Neurology, Neuroscience, or related field

  • 5+ years in clinical development, with expertise in early-stage neurology programs

  • Proven track record designing and executing Phase 1 and 2 studies

  • Strong grasp of biomarker strategies, regulatory pathways, and global health authority interactions

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Biotech or small pharma experience preferred
